Now it was time for me to reflect on the project. We looked at what we needed to get an A grade, and from this I could compare where we feel we are in terms of grades. Reflection also allowed us to see how genuine our products look when compared to a actual real media product. I feel that my film is very good in terms of story line, but feel that I should have used more sound effects, as opposed to just using diagetic sound and background music for my film. Using these sound effects would make noises emphasized and make it more conventional to the horror film genre.
I feel that my radio trailer works well and is similar to most horror film trailers. Although I am pleased with my poster, I feel that it could be better. I have never been overly confident with Photoshop skills, and feel that I have taken the easy option out creating a very basic poster, whereas most films tend to have extravagant posters as this is what helps sell the film. I feel that if my Photoshop skills were better, then I would be unhappy with my poster, but due to my confidence with Photoshop I feel that it is of average quality.
Reflecting has helped me to be more prepared for other projects that I will work on in the future.
